The CNV3013 interface realizes a RS232 asynchronous serial line using the USB port of a PC.
Thanks to the software driver supplied with the interface, this is seen by the operating system as a standard system serial port.
The galvanic isolation bewteen the USB port and the RS232 port ensures an high level of noise immunity and removes the problems associated with ground loops.
